Food Pantry Needs
The Food Pantry accepts donations Monday-Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please call the Front Desk at 914.939.4464 before delivering donations to make sure someone is available to accept your donation.
A few things to keep in mind when donating items to the Food Pantry:
- Most clients walk to and from the Food Pantry, so bulky, heavy items can be a burden. Instead of donating cans of soup, consider the freeze-dried boxed versions, which are much lighter.
- The Food Pantry now has a walk-in refrigerator, so we are equipped to accept fresh produce and perishable foods.
- The Food Pantry cannot divide bulk quantities of foods into smaller portions, so when shopping, look for 1-pound boxes and bags as opposed to the 5 or 10 pound versions.
The Food Pantry also serves as a distribution site for produce from God’s Green Market, in partnership with All Souls Parish at The Presbyterian Church in Port Chester. Volunteers from All Souls grow and harvest the produce at the Port Chester Middle School. All Food Pantry clients are eligible to receive one bag of God’s Green Market produce.
